Man They're Growing Up Way Too Fast!!

Yes, they are. I don't know where the time goes. Dalton and Caitlyn are both now in Middle School and they had a school dance last night. This was Caitlyn's first one and it was so much fun for both of us. It started last week when we went dress shopping, but the real fun was getting her all ready. We went and let Julie roll her hair because Mommy is just not very good at that. It always ends up real curly or flat. I might as well have done it myself though. By the time we got her to the school; the humidity had done a job on the spiral curls and it was pretty much flat. She still looked beautiful and no one else could really tell. When we got to the make-up, she was sooo excited that I was letting her wear some. That is not a normal thing, even though she begs all the time. Just because all of your friends wear make-up at 11 years old, doesnt mean you are going to. Plus, she doesnt even need it. Anyway...that is always my arguement.

Back to the dance. Chad decided to borrow a Limo from a friend and he, Joey, Luke, and Denim went around and picked up 9 middle schoolers and piled them all in. All of us moms met at the school to get pictures. The kids had a blast. They thought they were the coolest, even though the drivers were hiding from all the cameras and people. Well, seems like they all had a great time and I think all the parents did too.

I just Love my 3 babies and I can't believe how quick they grow up. I think they are all 3 just gorgeous if I do say so myself.

And Fall Blows In??

Could it, could it be that the 1st day of Fall is going to bring some cooler weather with it? I sure hope so! Even though we have had tons of fun this summer; I am sooo ready for some nice Fall weather.
As you may have read, my computer was in the shop for a long time and I haven't been able to blog like I wanted to. So...I wanted to share a brief glimpse of our Summer fun.

We pretty much spent all of the Summer holiday weekends at the lake with Chad's family. We all love being in the boats and on the water. It is always really a great time!

On July 4th and Labor Day we came back to Caddo to be with my family for cookouts and fireworks. For Labor Day, however; we had very special friends to join us. Dennis & Vikki Burke, their daughter and son-in-law Isaiah and Jessica Shook, and their kiddos Jude and Rhema. It was really a blast!

My Mom turned 60 on July 18th and we tried to surprise her with a Birthday Party at the church. The party turned out great, but I'm not for sure will pulled the surprise off. MOMMA KNOWS EVERYTHING!!!

On the Monday following Mom's party, we got up really, really early and headed to Port Aransas to meet Chad's Mom and Frank for a week at the beach. We had a great time eating, boating, swimming, and beach combng on St. Jo's island and others. We finished are week out with a night in San Antonio on the Riverwalk. We decided not to walk that long adventure, instead by took a boat ride. The kids thought the whole place was awesome. We hadn't been since Caitlyn was about 5, so Denim wasn't even around for that. Lots of memories made for all of us during this week. Especially the one of being stung by jellyfish. Chad was the only one the didnt get that experience.

The rest of our summer was filled with swimming, tanning, dirt bike riding, and just hanging out with friends and family! Just the way we like it.
