Happy Birthday Jesus!!!

What a wonderful time of the year. Celebrating the birth of our Savior and King! No other Holiday can compare. I love having two weeks off of school to spend with my family and just be together.

Our Christmas was really stretched out over the last week and a half. Despite the fact that we were on a tighter budget this year; I would have to say that this was the most enjoyable and peaceful Christmas we have ever had and I am sure they will only get better.

Over the next week I will try to post pictures from all of our Christmas Gatherings.

I hope your families also had a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and I wish you all a Prosperous, Blessed New Year!

We have a HAM in the house.

Thanksgiving...at the Deer Lease????

Ok...So I wasn't too sure about Thanksgiving at the lease with the whole family. My first thought was "How are we going to do the food, the kids, the camper?" I wanted my week off to be relaxing and peaceful and that wasn't what I had in mind. But..you know what? It was!!! It was absolutely great! Since I was off all week; we headed out first thing Monday morning but the rest of the group didn't get down until Tuesday evening. We had a huge Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday with all the fixins: turkey (wild), dressing, cranberry sauce, and lots of desserts. My mom did an awesome job cooking the food. She prepared some of it at home, but she turned the little gas grill at the lease into an oven and a griddle to get it all done. The "Do-It Fairy" strikes again.

We got up Thursday morning and hung out a bit and then me and the girls left Chad and Dalton so we could get back for Christmas shopping. I also made it back in time to have Thanksgiving at Chad's aunts house. It was alot of fun and a relaxing, peaceful evening of football. Of course, the morning after I left Dalton got an 8 point. He was so excited and I missed it. Maybe next time.

Early, early, early Friday morning Jennifer and I hit the stores. I really didn't get much, but what I did get I saved a bundle on. Jennifer, on the other hand, marked names off her list all day long. All I really have left is my kids, Chad, and my parents. I had bought for all of my nieces and nephews a few months ago. Those have been wrapped and under the tree for a couple of weeks now. So, I am good to go and ready for Christmas.

I plan on letting the peace that surrounded us on Thanksgiving to flow from now on. No Stress. No Drama. Just being Happy Being Together.

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." Psalms 100:4

I am so blessed to have been given this amazing family and so thankful to have Godly parents to teach us Faith, Love, and Joy! I am also Thankful for my extraordinary husband and the miracle God is doing in our lives. We have loved each other for almost 20 years, but never as deeply as we do right now. And my beautiful children....What a gift they are. I just prayer I can give them everything my parents have given me.
