Happy Birthday Dalton!!!!!!!! We Love You!!!!!!!!

I know, I know. It has been a long time. This month has been quick and busy. This is the first time have been able to get free to sit and type. So, I have alot of catching up to do. No, not really. I will just give you a brief account of what we have been up to.

Friday, May 15th.....Everyone took a day off and we headed to the Dallas Zoo. It was great. The kids really enjoyed getting to skip school and Denim thought the animals were amazing. She had been to the zoo before, but she probably doesn't remember it. She will this time though.

Later that night Caitlyn and her friends were in a talent show at the High School. They had practiced for a couple of weeks. It was really cute, even though Caitlyn got a little stage-fright and kinda lost her pizzazz. She complained the rest of the night about not feeling good. So that might of had something to do with it. I also added a picture of my cousin's daughter Victoria. She sang during the talent show and did a terrific job.

Friday, May 22nd....Caddo Mills Elementary Field Day. All the grades Pre-k thru 5th got to compete in different events raging from the Turtle Hurdles to 400 Meter Run and softball throw to tug-a-war. Our two, plus all of our neices and nephews, cousins and friends were involved. It was a fun time.

May 22nd-25th....We spent Memorial Day Weekend at Chad's grandmother's house at Lake Tawakoni with most of his family and my cousins Wesley and April and their children. Some other friends came over from other areas of the lake. We had a few boats and Cindy's Sea -Doo. The kids had a ball and the adults did too. It was really nice to get away and take a break from Caddo and ballgames. Just what we all needed. Don't miss the beautiful picture of our adorable niece McKenna.

Wednesday, May 27th......Happy Birthday!! Where did the time go? We hadn't planned a party for Dalton yet, because he can't decided what he wants to do. So, on his birthday we went over to Shananigan's. We ate at Rozie's Grill, rode go carts, played laser tag, bowled, and then we all played games for a while. It was a fun, fun, fun family night. Unfortunately, I ran off without my camera. So, no pictures. We are planning on having some kind of celebration next weekend, I will let everyone know. Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALTON!!! Hope you had a great day. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday, May 30th.....Motorcycle ride. Well yesterday we went on a very long ride. There were 34 people on 19 bikes. To name a few people who went: my parents, Chad's mom and Frank, my brother, our friends from church, and a few couples from town. We rode out thru Commerce to Sulphur Springs, to Yantis, to Alba and Grand Saline, and then to our final destination Edom. In this small town there is a great little stop for dinner called The Shed. We had a nice meal and a short trip home thru Canton and Quinlan. You know... you can't really ride very much longer after you get your belly full. I again, didn't take a camera, but if I can get my mother-in-law to email me a few; I will try to get some posted.

Sunday, May 31.....Jesse Duplantis. Today was the big kick off for our new Sanctuary. Bro. Jesse had told my dad a while back that when we got ready for this service, he wanted to be a part... And so, he was. It was an amazing service about Vision and Dreams and losing the past. It really hit hard for Chad and I. LIFE CHANGING!!!!!!!!!!! After service, we all headed to the ranch to annoint and/or bless the property. As a church family, the devil hit us hard financially, but it didn't stop the Vision. When you get hit, you don't stop, you just press harder and get through. VICTORY!!!!
Well, I hope it wasn't too long. Sorry. I will post sooner next time. Especially since I will soon have alot more time.. SCHOOL ALMOST OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only have 31/2 days with kids and two 1/2 days to get my classroom in order and then I'm outa there.

Fox Fest

We have a yearly celebration in Caddo called Fox Fest. It started Saturday morning with a 5K run, which my crazy sister-in-law Jennifer ran in this year. No just kidding, she did great. I am just kind of jealous because I am soooo out of shape. We had a parade at 10:30. It was very short this year, but I guess that is because everyone had some kind of booth downtown. There are games, food, retail booths, entertainment, and all kinds of contests. It was really a fun time. I got to take a few pictures before the rain came down. Of course, there aren't any of Dalton. He took off with his friends and stayed gone.

Sunday, at church, we also had a blast. We had a Cinco de Mayo celebration. It was great. Every Sunday we have a translator for our Spanish speaking family, but this week we had a bilingual service. The praise and worship, children's classes, and the sermon were all bilingual. Afterwards we had a huge Fiesta catered by Fiesta's. The whole thing was truly an amazing experience.

Well, I just wanted to tell everyone about our weekend.
Have a blessed week

Enjoy the pics.
Waiting on the Parade.

Spring Has Sprung!

It is so nice to have such beautiful weather! The kids can get out of the house. We have wonderful warm days and cool nights. I just love this time of year. God's undeniable miracles sprouting all around us. Spring feels like such a new beginning this year. PEACE, JOY, HEALTH, LOVE, and PROSPERITY are promised to us. We just have to walk in it. He has created everything for us. I choose from this day forward to walk in the fullness of his blessing.

Happy Easter!

I know I am a little late posting about our Easter weekend, but we have been extremely busy. Every night someone has ball practice, ballgames, or tumble. I usually can't get any posting done until I put them in bed and that has gotten real late lately. This year the kids have both moved into ages groups that play late (7:00 or 7:45). Dalton plays a 2 hour time limit and Caitlyn plays for 1 hr. 15 minutes. Most games aren't over until after nine, but this rain as brought us a nice relaxing weekend.

We had a fun, peaceful Easter this year. It started Saturday morning with the church Easter Egg Hunt at the Ranch. The kids always really enjoy going. Even Dalton got involved. All he talked about all week, was that he thought he was too old to hunt eggs this year. I guess that changed when we got there and all his friends were hunting eggs. Caitlyn never thinks about her age or any other excuses. She is just going to do anything to have fun. Of course, Denim had a ball and she had to look "Cool." For some reason that day she was attached to her sunglasses, but she looked adorable.

Later, that afternoon I got the kids all slicked up and we went to Granny's for Easter. She cooked a ham and we took the veggies. We had a wonderful evening. The kids hunted eggs in the backyard and Chad got to help his Granny get some stuff done around the house. She is recovering great from her knee replacement, but she is still a little restricted. We sat around and talked while the kids played. I hate that I didn't think about it as much in the past, but it means so much to me to spend time with Chad grandparents. All of our grandparents on my side have gone to Heaven and I want to do everything I can to make the ones we have left know how much We Love Them!

On Resurrection (Easter) Sunday, we, of course, went to church. Jesus Christ (our Daddy) and what he did for us; is what it is all really about anyway. Right? We had our yearly children's Easter Parade. It is so great to see all the children dressed up and smiling to celebrate our Saviour. The love and faith of a child can teach you forever.

After church, we had lunch with my family. Almost the whole group made it: My parents, my brother and his family, my aunt Colleen, my cousin Kathy and her family, my cousin Kevin and his family, and us. The meal was fantastic as it always is. For the Easter egg hunt, since it was still wet, the eggs were all hidden in the shop. It made for an unusually fun time and the kids loved cracking confetti eggs over everyone heads.

Despite some family members missing for the weekend, our Easter turned out to be one of the best. I think they get better every year. Hope you all had as good of a time as we did. Check out all the pics. Love you All.

GOOD NEWS!!!

I just have a few bits of good news that I wanted to share with everyone.

First, our Ladies Spring Conference was this weekend and it was amazing. The speakers were Terri Savelle-Foy and Vicki Burke. They are two anointed women of God and their messages were life changing.

Second, our friend Corey Ross did make it into the Top 5 of Austin Artists. Thanks to everyone who voted.

And...last, but not least! Granny got to go home Saturday. She told us she was only going to be there for three weeks, but the doctors kept saying longer. She proved them all wrong. The doctors are amazed by her quick recovery. We went over and saw her yesterday and she is doing great! Can't keep a good woman down! WE LOVE YOU GRANNY!!!!!!!
